As a travel tragic, I love the planning part of booking a holiday almost as much as going on the holiday. Holiday foreplay!
There are a few websites out that make the process of researching holidays even more enjoyable. One I really like is google.com/flights.
It is revolutionary! Instead of putting in a destination to go to, it allows you to put in your location and then skim through a google map of the world with the prices of every city listed. I use the website to familiarise myself with prices to fly to exotic locations and plan trips I may never actually go on.
Its very easy to use (as is everything google) however you cannot book directly from the website. For this, you need a travel comparison site like Kayak or Expedia (the price is within a few dollars – although everything is in US dollars. You can select other currencies however (Polish Zloty anyone??) Australian dollars is not one of them 😦 . It also shows you the price a day or so either side of the dates you are looking at.
